Working with Education
From coaching a young person in their early years at secondary school to helping with interview skills for older students, GE's education projects offer a wide variety of options. Whatever your career experience, schools benefit from the input of volunteers.
The different perspective that business people bring is greatly valued. Even a small time commitment can have a lasting effect on a school and the young people within it.
Raise the aspirations of a teenager through a mentoring programme, help a young child learn to read, spark an interest in science or maths, give a grounding in financial literacy, share a hobby, train head teachers in change management, facilitate a meeting or even run a Lean Six Sigma project on a subject that is vital to school improvement.
The time commitment is flexible, from an hour a week to a few times each year.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
