About your job
Find out about my role as an Engineering Degree Apprentice in this video.
GE Volunteer activities
Career Events, Mock Interviews, Cheltenham Science Festival, Imagineering Events (e.g. Royal Bath & West Show), Girls Get SET, K’Nex Challenge.
Why you volunteer
As well as it being an integral part of my role as an apprentice, I love to share my knowledge and passion with the younger generations in a fun and exciting way, to open their eyes to the opportunities that are available for them in their future as I would have like to have something similar when I was their age.
Favourite volunteer project
Cheltenham Science Festival because I get to interact with people of all ages in a range of different ways. I get to find out more about the different GE businesses as well other local companies and attend talks about a variety of STEM related topics.
I had the opportunity to ring the jubilee bells (the bells that were rung on the barge for the queens diamond jubilee) when I took part in the national youth bell ringing contest.
To the optimist, the glass is half full, to the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
